News from the Ridge
We are excited to announce that Sassy will be going to Tulsa. She was purchased by Wendy Tinker of Bargello Farms and will be shown by Gary McDonald. Bill will be there to cheer her on. We wish Wendy and Sassy a great future.
We have added some foal pictures on our sales page and videos will come shortly. Both weanlings are a part of the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Program. The filly is an auction filly and the colt a futurity prospect. Both are available for purchase.
The 2008 show season continues to be a great one for the horses of Rainbow Ridge Arabians. WH Sasshaikhin was Top 10 (5th) in the Open Mare class at Canadian Nationals. We are very proud of her because she was the youngest mare there by at least a year.
The Nor Cal and Diablo shows were good starts for both Sassy and RR Allaflame to the 2008 seasons with champions for each. This was followed by Sassy’s unanimous championship at Region 4 in the Two Years and Older Mares with her trainer, Paul Mehew of Parkside. She was also Reserve Champion in the same class with Ruth for AOTH.
RR Ali Shaheen (Silhoutte’s 2008 colt) and RR Athena Rose continue to bring joy and laughter to the farm. They run around the pastures, full of vim and vigor and drive the older mares nuts with their antics. They particularly like to hang out with RR Lily K, our yearling.
WH Silhoutte is in foal to Odessey SC for 2009. We look forward to this foal with great anticipation.
